Is TCG Rift free?
Yes, completely. There are no ads, no purchases, no currency to buy and no subscription. Packs refill over time: 5 every 12 hours, plus a Loyalty pack every 5 levels. Nobody can pay to get more.
Is it an official Riot Games game?
No. TCG Rift is a fan project, created under Riot Games' "Legal Jibber Jabber" policy using assets owned by Riot Games. Riot Games does not endorse or sponsor it.
Is it Riftbound, the League of Legends card game?
No. Riftbound is Riot Games' official trading card game, with its own decks and matches. TCG Rift has nothing to do with it: it is a free online fan game where you open packs to collect League of Legends skins. There is no deck building and no battling.
Do I need an account to play?
Not to try it: a free pack waits on the game table, no sign-up needed. To get your packs every 12 hours and keep your collection, sign in with a Google or Discord account. We never store a password.
Do the cards give me skins in League of Legends?
No. TCG Rift cards only exist on TCG Rift. They unlock nothing in League of Legends, and your LoL account is never linked.
Can I trade or sell my cards?
No. Cards have no real-world value and cannot be traded. Duplicates are for fusion: 5 duplicates of one rarity give a card of the next rarity up.
Are the odds rigged?
No. The server draws every card with the odds published in Pack odds and drop rates, the same for everyone, with no pity timer and no guarantee. A pack's design does not change what is inside.
How many cards are there?
2,112 cards for 173 champions: every League of Legends skin, from base skins to Ultimates, and each one can also drop as a Prismatic version. When a patch brings new skins, they join the catalogue.
Why do I keep pulling duplicates?
Because every card is drawn from the whole catalogue, including the ones you already have. The further your collection gets, the more often it happens. Fuse them, or keep them: a card you pull often earns mastery stars.
Are unopened packs lost?
Yes: when the 12-hour timer runs out, the packs of your lot expire and a new lot of 5 is waiting. The Loyalty pack never expires.
Can I play on my phone?
Yes. TCG Rift runs in the browser, with a finger as well as a mouse, and installs on your home screen like an app, no store needed.
Is my collection public?
Your showcase is public by default, with your username and the avatar you picked, never your name or email. One switch in your account makes it friends-only. Everything is explained in the privacy policy.
How do I delete my account?
From your Account page, in one click. Your collection and data are erased right away, and leave the backups 14 days later at most, as the privacy policy explains.
