TCG Rift is a free collectible card game you play in your browser, set in the world of League of Legends. Every card is a LoL skin: 2,112 cards for 173 champions, from base skins to Ultimate skins. You open packs, complete your collection, level up and compare pulls with your friends. No ads, no purchases: everything is earned by playing.
Your first pack, no account needed
On the game table, you get a free pack before you even sign up. Pick one on the ring, then tear it open with your finger or mouse, starting from the strip at the top. The 5 cards flip one by one. If you create your account afterwards, they are waiting in your collection.
Signing in takes one click with a Google or Discord account: we never store a password.
Five packs every 12 hours
Every player gets a lot of 5 packs. Your first opening starts a 12-hour timer; when it runs out, unopened packs expire and a fresh lot of 5 is waiting. The game can add the end of your lot to your calendar as a reminder.
Each pack on the ring shows the art of a region of Runeterra (Ionia, Demacia, Noxus, Piltover…), but every pack contains the whole catalogue with the same odds: the region only picks the pack design. The exact odds are in Pack odds and drop rates.
Seven rarities, plus Prismatic cards
Every card has one of seven rarities: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythic and Ultimate. It follows the skin's tier in League of Legends: a base skin is a Common, a 1820 RP Legendary skin is a Legendary, an Ultimate skin like Elementalist Lux is an Ultimate. Every Ultimate card is animated. The tier-by-tier breakdown is in LoL skin rarity tiers explained.
Any card can also drop as a Prismatic version, once in 40: an iridescent foil, its own slot in your collection, and triple XP.
The server draws every card at random, nothing else: no pity timer, no guaranteed card per pack. An Ultimate can drop in your very first pack.
XP, levels and the Loyalty pack
Every card you pull gives XP based on its rarity:
| Rarity | XP |
|---|---|
| Ultimate | 1,000 XP |
| Mythic | 250 XP |
| Legendary | 100 XP |
| Epic | 40 XP |
| Rare | 25 XP |
| Uncommon | 15 XP |
| Common | 10 XP |
A card you never had before gives ×2, a Prismatic ×3, and both multiply. Every 5 levels you earn a Loyalty pack: it is added to your lot and never expires. Levels also unlock cosmetics: titles, profile frames, card backs and showcase backgrounds.
Combos, poker style
When the cards in a pack go together, you get bonus XP, like a poker hand:
- Rarity: pair, two pair, three of a kind, full house, four of a kind, flush, ladder (five different rarities) and straight.
- Same champion: twins (40 XP), triplets, all the way to quintuplets.
- Same skin line: collection duo (40 XP), trio, quartet, quintet.
- Same region: an alliance of three champions (40 XP), a coalition, a unification.
- Prismatics, all new (five cards you never had), wish granted (one of your wanted cards drops) and streak (several packs of the same lot that hit a combo).
The rarer the combo, the more it pays, up to 10,000 XP. The game calls it out as soon as its last card flips.
Fusing duplicates
Duplicates are never wasted: 5 duplicates of the same rarity fuse into a random card of the next rarity up. You always keep at least one copy of every card. Ultimates and Prismatics cannot be fused. A card you pull many times also earns mastery stars.
Collection, achievements and challenges
Sort your collection by champion, skin line, region, lane or rarity. Pin 6 cards at the top of your showcase and mark up to 10 wanted cards. The game has 460 achievements across 1,609 tiers, ranked from Iron to Challenger just like ranked queue. Every week, three challenges of rising difficulty reward cosmetics.
Playing with friends
Add friends by username or with your invite link. You see their pulls of the day live, compare collections, rank against each other (there is no global leaderboard), and open a pack at the same time in an opening duel. Your showcase is public by default; one switch makes it friends-only.
On your phone
TCG Rift plays just as well with a finger as with a mouse. You can install it on your home screen like an app, no store needed. The site is available in English, French, German and Spanish.
